Transition to LPL Financial

November 30, 2021

It is our pleasure to share with you some exciting news about Accardi Financial Group.

Accardi Financial Group is an independent financial services firm, consisting of our Wealth Management Team Members, External Partners, your behind-the-scenes service team, and the Accardi family, all of whom are focused on helping you achieve your financial goals.

Because we’re independent, we have choices as to what entities we use to help support us in our efforts to serve you, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve upon all of the services we provide.

Following extensive research and consideration, we are proud to announce that we are replacing First Allied Securities, Inc. (the Broker Dealer firm that provides regulatory compliance and support to Accardi Financial Group) and Pershing, LLC, the custodian that provides clearing services, with LPL Financial (LPL), the country’s largest independent broker dealer firm.

LPL Financial is one of the leading financial services companies and is the largest independent broker/dealer in the nation, representing more than 19,000 independent financial professionals across the country (as reported by Financial Planning magazine, June 1996-2021, based on total revenue). As an LPL Financial professional, we are free to choose the products and services that address your needs because LPL Financial does not offer any proprietary products. This commitment to objective financial advice helps to preserve the integrity of our investment advice. For decades, the firm has served as a partner to financial professionals, supporting them in their goals of helping to protect and grow clients’ wealth. We are excited about our new affiliation, and we’re confident that you’ll be pleased with the range of services you will receive as a result.

We firmly believe they will be valuable partners with us as we move forward.

Starting today, we will be updating our account agreements with you so that we can continue to provide you with ongoing advice and management of your accounts, just as we do today. This is very important, and we’ve made the process simple for you. You’ll receive several emails from DocuSign for your electronic signature. The important part is you need to sign those as soon as possible, because we can’t manage your accounts at LPL until we have your signature.

We appreciate the fact that any time accounts are transferred, you may want to track them. Of course, we will be tracking them for you, but you’ll be able to do so as well with online access to your LPL accounts via their website and app called MyAccountView. It’s similar to the way you may have done it through First Allied, Pershing, or MoneyGuidePro. Your advisory team will help you establish your online access.

Additionally, sometime in early 2022, you’ll be getting two different tax documents for each non-qualified account that you have, one from Pershing and one from LPL. So make sure you have both sets when you do your taxes next year.

This is just our initial announcement to you, and we will provide you with further details as they become available.

Also, please read FINRA’s educational communication regarding factors to consider in determining whether to transfer your assets.

One immediate change you may have noticed is regarding our email addresses. Each of our addresses have changed from “@1stAllied.com” to “@accardifg.com”, and we will use our first name as the user name. So, for example, jaccardi@1stallied.com will become joe@accardifg.com. Please update your contact list accordingly so that there’s no disruption in our email communications with you.

Again, you can expect further correspondence from us with some important details in the coming days and weeks. As always, we thank you for the trust you put in us!
